It was a real slugfest in Griffith Stadium where the Cincinnati Reds finally
out-scored the Washington Nationals by a score of 13 to 10 in.

Dick Fowler(7-9) was lucky to get the win as he struggled out there tonight.
He gave up 9 runs, 10 hits and 4 walks in 7 innings.  Cincinnati lit up the
scoreboard in the 2nd inning when they had 8 runs on 9 hits.  Cincinnati had
21 hits for the game and Washington had 13.  

Satchel Paige recorded his 13th save.  Buddy Lively(5-6) was the loser.  By
surrending 10 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings his ERA jumped from 5.19 to 6.12.
