Philadelphia-AL had the game winning rally in the 8th inning scoring 6 runners
on 6 hits.  The key at-bat was by Elmer Valo who silenced Wrigley Field as he
doubled bringing home two baserunners.  Philadelphia-AL finished with 12 hits
in the victory.  

Herm Wehmeier(8-4) got the win allowing 2 runs in 1 inning. Dutch Leonard
earned his 10th save.  Howie Judson(4-9) was given the loss in relief.
