Jesse Stovall pitched a complete game as the Detroit Tigers defeated the
Boston Americans by the score of 3 to 2 at Bennett Park.
In the 6th inning Detroit scored 2 runs. Boston made it exciting in the 9th,
but they were unable to push the needed runs across.
The win was credited to Stovall(3-8) who went the whole way allowing 2 runs.
Jesse Tannehill(13-7) ended up with the loss. He surrendered 3 runs and 4
hits in 8 innings.
'It's a disheartening loss, no question about it' said Boston's manager 'But
we have to get over it and get ready for the next game.'
