Zack Wheat smacked 2 triples and had 2 RBI and Bob Harmon pitched a complete
game at Navin Field as the Detroit Tigers beat the St. Louis-AL Browns by the
count of 5 to 1.

St. Louis-AL was unable to claim the lead after Detroit went ahead in the
bottom of the 5th inning scoring 2 runners on 1 hit.  The highlight belonged
to Johnny Evers who brought a roar from the partisan Navin Field fans when he
lifted one out of the park for a two run home run.  Detroit banged out 8 hits
on the afternoon.  

Harmon(7-13) got the victory, allowing 1 run for the game. Art Fromme(2-3)
suffered the loss.  He surrendered 5 runs and 7 hits in 6 and 2/3 innings.
