In an entertaining game at Baker Bowl the final score was the Baltimore
Orioles 7, the Philadelphia Phillies 4.

Baltimore jumped on top of Philadelphia in the 2nd inning plating an isolated
run on 3 base hits. Philadelphia made it exciting in the 9th, but they were
unable to push the needed runs across.

The win was credited to George Hemming(13-9) who went 8 and 2/3 innings
allowing 4 runs. Hemming got help from Dad Clarkson who earned his 2nd save.
Kid Carsey(13-12) was the losing pitcher. He was touched for 14 hits and 3
walks in 9 innings.

Arthur Irwin was subdued after the ballgame, 'That one really hurts. If our
guys had simply played more fundamentally sound, we could have won that one.
That is what really ticks me off!'
