Frank Kitson allowed John McGraw to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete game
at Baker Bowl where the Baltimore Orioles beat the Philadelphia Phillies 11
to 4.

Philadelphia was unable to climb back into it after Baltimore went ahead for
good in the top of the 4th inning plating 2 runs on 2 base hits. Gene
Demontreville led off and got things going when he stroked a base-hit.
McGraw then called for a steal which was successful. Steve Brodie then hit a
sacrifice fly which plated a run. Bill Keister followed and he slapped a
one-base hit. Jimmy Sheckard came to the plate and reached on an error.
Baltimore continued their aggressive style with another stolen base. Candy
Lachance next to the plate and he would ground out scoring the final run of
the inning. Baltimore managed 11 hits in their victory.

Kitson(17-6) lasted until the end allowing 4 runs for the win. Wiley
Piatt(16-6) took the loss. Baltimore knocked him around a bit, as he gave up
11 runs in 9 innings.
