Duke Snider went yard and had 6 RBI as the St. Louis Cardinals beat the
Philadelphia Phillies by a score of 10 to 3.

Snider enjoyed a great day at the plate.  He cracked a two-run shot in the 3rd
inning, tripled bringing in a run in the 7th inning and tripled clearing the
bases in the 9th inning.  Cliff Fannin earned the save with a perfect ninth,
his 1st save.  

The winning pitcher was Harry Brecheen(16-6) who allowed 2 runs in 6 innings.
Fred Sanford(2-12) was hit with the loss.  'I felt great out there today'
Snider said.  'I was seeing the ball perfectly, and I was right on it with my
swing.
