Old Hoss Radbourn was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game and Billy Nash had 2 base hits and 3 RBI at Recreation Park as
the Boston Beaneaters beat the Detroit Wolverines in 10 innings 6 to 2.

Both teams had scored 1 runs after nine full innings. Boston won the hard
fought contest in the 10th inning. The critical plate appearance was by Dick
Johnston who deflated the mood of the partisan fans when he bombed a two-run
dinger. Boston managed 7 hits in their victory.

Radbourn(13-19) finished the game allowing 2 runs in the victory. Ed
Beatin(1-1) was charged with the loss. He was the victim of a defensive
lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.
