Bill Kissinger pitched a complete game and Bones Ely had 2 base hits and 3 RBI
at League Park where the St. Louis Browns beat the struggling Cincinnati Reds
in 10 innings by the score of 5 to 4.

The score was tied at 3 after nine. St. Louis won the hard fought contest in
the 10th inning.  Duff Cooley led off the inning for St. Louis when he lined
a single.  Joe Quinn came to the plate and drew a walk.  Tommy Dowd then
stroked a one-base hit to load the bases.  Ely stepped in and he delivered a
base-hit bringing in two baserunners.  St. Louis finished with 16 hits in the
victory.  

Kissinger(6-5), allowing 4 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Billy
Rhines(8-9) ended up with the loss.  He pitched 9 and 1/3 innings and
surrendered 15 hits and 1 walk.
