Frank Foreman completed the game without help from the bullpen at League Park
as the Cincinnati Reds beat the Louisville Colonels by the count of 2 to
1.

Foreman(7-10) pitched well for Cincinnati in their victory. He went 9 innings
and surrended up 11 hits and 3 walks dropping his ERA from 4.74 to 4.53.
Louisville tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.

The losing pitcher was Chick Fraser(13-13). He allowed 10 hits and no walks
in 8 innings. Bill McGunnigle was in a contemplative mood after the tough
loss, 'It is really hard to lose this kind of a game. It may seem weird to
some, but it is easier to take the occasional blow-out loss. It is the ones
that just barely get away that hurt so much - like this one!'
