First baseman George Stovall had 2 base hits as the Washington Nationals
outscored the Boston-AL Red Sox in 15 innings 3 to 2.

pulled the game out in the 15th inning. Harry Lord doubled. Tommy Leach
followed and he lashed a single giving Washington the win and sending the
home town fans into a frenzy. Washington banged out 12 hits on the

allowing no runs. Hippo Vaughn(6-12) took the loss in relief.
