Clyde Milan had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Sportsmans Park where the Washington
Nationals beat the woeful St. Louis Browns by the score of 7 to 3.

St. Louis was unable to recover after Washington went ahead in the 6th inning
when they scored 3 runs on 1 hit.  Washington totaled 10 hits on the
afternoon.  

Hippo Vaughn(4-12) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Joe
Engel was credited with his 3rd save.  Earl Hamilton(4-13) was charged with
the loss.  He was unable to control the Washington offense and allowed 10
hits and 4 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.
