Hank Sauer hit one over the fence and had 2 RBI as the Pittsburgh Pirates beat
the floundering Cleveland Indians in 13 innings by a score of 3 to 2.

The score was tied at 2 after nine.  Finally, Pittsburgh pulled the game out
in the 13th inning.  After an out was recorded, Yogi Berra doubled.  Monte
Irvin came next and he reached on an error giving Pittsburgh the victory and
sending the 32,948 home-town fans home happy.  Pittsburgh out-hit Cleveland
for the game, 11 hits to 4.  

Bubba Church(5-9) allowed no runs in 3 innings, and picked up the victory. Sam
Zoldak(6-3) took the loss in relief.  He allowed 1 hit and no walks in 1/3 of
an inning.
