Al Thake had 4 hits and 4 RBI and Jim Britt allowed Bob Ferguson to rest his
bullpen, tossing a complete game as the Brooklyn A Atlantics bested the
ice-cold Middletown Mansfields in 10 innings 20 to 19 at Mansfield
Grounds.
The score was knotted at 19 after nine innings. Brooklyn A was victorious in
the 10th inning. After an out was recorded, Ferguson reached on an error.
Ferguson proceeded to steal third base. Herman Dehlman then hit a sacrifice
