Paul Hines hit a homerun and had 2 RBI and Monte Ward was able to finish what
he started and was credited with a complete game as the Providence Grays(P)
bested the Indianapolis Blues 13 to 7 at Messer St Grounds.

The Providence fans enjoyed the offense provided by Hines. He doubled which
scored a run in the 1st inning, smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 6th
inning and doubled in the 8th inning. The Providence offense was as
consistent as it was powerful. They scored in every inning, making a joke of
the Indianapolis pitching.

Ward(8-6) lasted until the end allowing 7 runs for the win. Russ McKelvy(0-1)
was the loser. He gave up 13 runs in 8 innings of work.
