John Coleman tossed a complete game and right fielder Jack Manning had 4 hits
at Recreation Park where the Philadelphia Quakers beat the New York Gothams
in 10 innings by the score of 8 to 7.

The score was knotted at 7 after nine innings.  Philadelphia won the game in
the 10th inning.  Coleman doubled.  Bob Ferguson next to the plate and he
doubled making Philadelphia victorious to the delight of the the home town
crowd.  Philadelphia had 13 hits for the afternoon.  

Coleman(9-35) lasted until the end allowing 7 runs for the win. Mickey
Welch(15-16) was given the loss.  He pitched 9 innings and surrendered 13
hits and 1 walk.
