Sadie McMahon went the distance and Tim O'Rourke had 4 hits and 2 RBI as the
Baltimore Orioles bested the Brooklyn Grooms 12 to 4 at Union Park.

Brooklyn was unable to recover after Baltimore went ahead in the bottom of the
3rd inning with 2 runs utilizing 2 base hits.  Cub Stricker led off the
inning for Baltimore when he lashed a single.  Wilbert Robinson was next and
he reached on an error.  McMahon then laid down a sacrifice bunt.  Billy
Shindle was up next and he hit a sacrifice fly bringing in a run.  George Van
Haltren came to the plate and drew a walk.  Sy Sutcliffe joined his teammates
in the uprising and singled scoring the final run of the inning.  Baltimore
had a total of 16 hits for the game.  

McMahon(20-15) was the winner allowing 4 runs for the game. Brickyard
Kennedy(0-2) was given the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 16 hits and 5
walks in 8 innings.
