In an entertaining game at Sportsman'S Park the final score was the St. Louis
Browns 6, the New York Highlanders 3.

St. Louis plated all the runs they needed in the 6th inning when they tallied
6 runs on 4 hits.  The crucial at-bat was provided by Dode Criss who brought
the crowd to their feet when he doubled bringing in two baserunners.  St.
Louis banged out 9 hits on the afternoon.  

The victory was credited to Jack Powell(7-10) who went 6 innings, allowing 3
runs. Powell got help from Criss who was credited with his 1st save.  Jack
Quinn(9-11) absorbed the loss.  He allowed 6 runs and 9 hits in 8 innings.
