The Brooklyn Dodgers registered 5 runs in the 1st inning and had very little
trouble at Ebbets Field downing the St. Louis-AL Browns.  The score was 11 to
5.

It was a good day for Brooklyn thanks to Vic Saier.  He lined a base-hit
scoring a run in the 1st inning and clubbed a two-run home run in the 5th
inning.  Brooklyn had a total of 13 hits for the game.  

Gene Packard(4-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 5 and 1/3 innings and
allowing 4 runs. Eppa Rixey got the save, his 16th.  The losing pitcher was
Rube Marquard(13-13).  He was touched for 12 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings.
