Dick Rudolph pitched 9 strong innings at Robison Field where the Boston Braves
beat the St. Louis Cardinals by the score of 3 to 0.

Boston claimed the early lead in the first inning plating one baserunner.
That scoring would be all that was needed.  Both teams ended up with 4 hits
on the afternoon.  

It was the 7th shutout of the year for Rudolph(16-7). Slim Sallee(10-11) was
the loser.  Wth the win Boston now has a record of a league leading 61-40.
With the loss St. Louis now has a record of 46-58.
