Jim Devlin had a complete game and Chick Fulmer had 3 base hits and 2 RBI at
Baseball Park as the Louisville Grays beat the St. Louis Brown Stockings by
the count of 13 to 4.

St. Louis fell behind quickly as the Louisville offense came through in the
first inning when they came up with 4 runs on 4 hits.  Louisville banged out
14 hits on the afternoon.  

Devlin(24-23) was the winner allowing 4 runs for the game. George
Bradley(34-11) was the losing pitcher.  He was knocked around pretty good,
giving up 13 runs in 8 innings.
