Bill Hallman smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Ben Sanders completed the
game without help from the bullpen as the Philadelphia Athletics bested the
Cincinnati Kelly's Killers 7 to 5 at East End Park.

Hallman enjoyed a big day at the plate. He lifted one out of the park for a
two run home run in the 1st inning and clubbed a two-run home run in the 7th
inning. Cincinnati tried unsuccessfully to come back in the 9th.

Sanders(9-4) allowed 5 runs on the game. Ed Crane(13-16) was tagged with the
loss. King Kelly was subdued after the ballgame, 'That one really hurts. If
our guys had simply played more fundamentally sound, we could have won that
one. That is what really ticks me off!'
