Ned Garvin went the distance as the Chicago Orphans defeated the struggling
Washington Senators by the score of 7 to 2 at Boundary Field.

Garvin(3-7) gave a fine effort for Chicago.  He went 9 innings allowing 11
hits and 4 walks lowering his ERA from 4.10 to 3.90.  Chicago finished with
10 hits in the victory.  

Kid Carsey(5-5) was hit with the loss.  He gave up 7 runs and 10 hits in 9
innings.  Chicago continued their winning ways, with their streak now at 6
games and counting. Tom Burns held court after the contest, 'Everything is
coming up aces right now.  It is important for our team to ride this wave as
long as we can.  Every win is important.'
