Chick Fraser had a complete game as the very talented Philadelphia Phillies
won at Baker Bowl in dramatic fashion over the slumping Pittsburg Pirates,
the final score, 5 to 4.

Philadelphia scored the deciding run in the 9th inning. Joe Dolan reached on
an error. After an out was recorded, Roy Thomas came to bat and laced a
base-hit. After another out, Ed Delahanty then lined a single giving
Philadelphia the victory and sending the 3,019 home-town fans home happy.
This was a game of many highs and lows for the home town fans, as the lead
kept changing - 5 times in all.

Fraser(16-4) finished the game allowing 4 runs in the victory. Jim
Gardner(0-4) was charged with the loss in relief. He pitched 2/3 of an
inning and surrendered 2 hits and no walks.
