Joe Yeager came through with a solid 9 innings and Doc Casey had 2 base hits
and 2 RBI as the Detroit Tigers beat the Milwaukee Brewers by a score of 10
to 2.
Detroit took the lead for good in the bottom of the 2nd inning when they
tallied 3 runs on 2 hits. That was all the runs Yeager(6-6) needed. Detroit
rapped out 10 hits for the afternoon.
Bert Husting(8-5) was charged with the loss. He was knocked around pretty
good, giving up 10 runs in 8 innings. George Stallings was very impressed
with his pitcher, Yeager, 'He had unusually good pitch placement this
afternoon. It was almost unfair - but a beautiful game to watch from where I
sat'
