In a dramatic ending at Polo Grounds the New York Giants won in their last
at-bat beating the Pittsburgh Pirates by the count of 4 to 3.

The game was decided in the 9th inning.  Cy Seymour banged out a single.  Art
Devlin was next and he lined a single.  Dan McGann then laced a base-knock
giving New York the win and sending the home town fans into a frenzy.  Both
teams finished the game with 10 hits.  

The winning pitcher was George Ferguson(4-1) who allowed no runs in 1/3 of an
inning. Howie Camnitz(1-2) was charged with the loss in relief.
