In a dramatic ending at Huntington Ave Grnds the Boston Red Sox won in their
last at-bat beating the slumping Chicago White Sox by the count of 3 to
2.

The game was decided in the 9th inning.  After two outs Amby McConnell lined a
single.  Bill Carrigan was next and he ripped a base-hit.  Larry Gardner then
lined a one-base hit making Boston the victors to the delight of the home
town faithful.  Boston finished with 9 hits while Chicago ended up with 5.

Charley Hall(2-0) was the winner allowing no runs in 1/3 of an inning. Fred
Olmstead(1-4) was tagged with the loss in relief.  He allowed 1 run and 3
hits in 1 and 2/3 innings.
