Washington scored the winning runs in the 8th inning when they tallied 4 runs
on 3 hits.  The big moment was provided by Luke Easter who elicited a roar
from the hometown fans when he bombed a two-run dinger.  Washington had a
total of 9 hits for the game.  

Warren Spahn(12-12) was the winner allowing 3 runs in 8 innings. Ken Holcombe
recorded his 2nd save.  Howie Judson(4-10) was the loser in relief.  He was
the victim of a defensive lapse and did not allow an earned run in the game.
