Henry Boyle went the distance at South End Grounds as the Indianapolis
Hoosiers beat the Boston Beaneaters by the count of 6 to 4.

Indianapolis scored the winning runs in the top of the 8th inning plating 2
runs on 2 base hits.  Jack Glasscock led off and started the attack as he
reached on an error.  Two outs later Con Daily came to bat and hit a single
scoring a one-base hit run.  Daily took off for second and slid in with a
stolen base.  George Myers was up next and he singled scoring the final run
of the inning.  Indianapolis banged out 8 hits on the afternoon.  

The victory went to Boyle(13-13) who went the distance allowing 4 runs. Dick
Conway(1-4) was the losing pitcher.  He surrendered 6 runs and 8 hits in 9
innings.
