Third baseman Bobby Byrne had 4 hits and 3 RBI at Bennett Park as the
Chicago-NL Cubs beat the floundering Detroit Tigers 10 to 5.

Detroit was unable to climb back into it after Chicago-NL went ahead for good
in the 7th inning when they came up with 2 runs on 3 hits.  Chicago-NL lit up
the scoreboard in the 9th inning which saw them plate 3 runs on 4 hits.  A
wild affair, this game saw the lead change 6 times.  

Cy Morgan(12-9) allowed 5 runs in 6 innings, and picked up the victory. Eddie
Plank earned the save, his 1st.  Ed Lafitte(4-8) was hit with the loss.
