First baseman Ted Kluszewski had 4 hits and 6 RBI as the Cincinnati Reds
destroyed the Washington Nationals by a score of 12 to 2 at Crosley
Field.

Kluszewski enjoyed a great day at the plate.  He banged out a single knocking
in a run in the 1st inning, doubled in the 3rd inning, doubled emptying the
bases in the 4th inning and doubled plating two runs in the 7th inning.
Cincinnati simply wore out the Washington pitching staff, scoring in 6
different innings.  

Bob Keegan(9-13) went 7 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory. Murry
Dickson(7-12) took the loss.  He was hit hard and gave up 18 hits and 3 walks
in 8 innings.  

'They made a couple of mistakes and I took full advantage,' Kluszewski said
'next time I'm sure they'll pitch me tougher.'
