Stan Yerkes was able to finish what he started and was credited with a
complete game as the St. Louis Cardinals outscored the slumping Philadelphia
Phillies 10 to 2.

The Philadelphia fans didn't appreciate the big day Otto Krueger had. He hit
a single scoring a run in the 2nd inning, slapped a base-hit bringing home
two baserunners in the 6th inning and ripped a one-base hit knocking in a run
in the 7th inning. St. Louis rapped out 13 hits for the afternoon.

Yerkes(14-15) allowed 2 runs on the game. Bill Duggleby(3-14) ended up with
the loss. He was knocked around pretty good, giving up 10 runs in 9 innings.
