Second baseman Jerry Priddy slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI and Vic Raschi
went the distance as the St. Louis Cardinals bested the Cincinnati Reds 7 to
3 at Crosley Field.

Priddy enjoyed a fine day at the plate.  He clubbed a two-run home run in the
2nd inning, doubled in the 5th inning and laced a one-base hit in the 7th
inning.  St. Louis had 14 hits for the afternoon.  

Raschi(17-6) lasted until the end allowing 3 runs for the win. Dick
Fowler(8-10) was tagged with the loss.  He allowed a few too many baserunners
giving up 13 hits and 3 walks in 8 innings.  

Wth the win St. Louis now has a record of 60-60.  Cincinnati has a record of
55-77, worst in the league after the loss.
