Hank O'Day pitched a complete game and Pat Deasley had 3 base hits at
Swampoodle Grounds where the Washington Nationals beat the Pittsburgh
Alleghenys 4 to 2.

O'Day(19-16) looked very much in control throughout the day.  He didn't give
up much, just 5 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings.  Washington managed 10 hits in
their victory.  

Pud Galvin(12-17) suffered the loss.  He pitched 8 innings and surrendered 10
