the Chicago-NL batters. He didn't give up much, just 3 hits and 2 walks in 9
innings. Cincinnati managed 9 hits in their victory.
Jimmy Dygert(9-5) was the losing pitcher. Doug Hatch was very impressed with
his pitcher, Stricklett, 'He had unusually good pitch placement this
afternoon. It was almost unfair - but a beautiful game to watch from where I
sat'
