Vic Willis pitched a 7 hitter at Exposition Park where the Pittsburgh Pirates
beat the Brooklyn Superbas in 13 innings 2 to 1.

The score was knotted at 1 after nine innings.  Pittsburgh won it in the 13th
inning.  Tommy Leach ripped a single.  Nap Rucker then had one get away for a
wild pitch.  Fred Clarke then doubled making Pittsburgh the victor and
beginning a joyous home town celebration.  Pittsburgh had a total of 10 hits
for the game.  

The winning pitcher was Willis(17-6) who allowed 1 run for the game.
Rucker(7-12) took the loss.  He pitched 12 innings giving up 10 hits and 2
walks.
