Babe Adams mowed down 13 Washington batters and Fred Snodgrass collected 2
extra-base hits and had 2 RBI at Palace of the Fans where the Cincinnati Reds
beat the Washington Nationals 9 to 3.

Adams(11-10) contributed a very nicely pitched game.  He allowed only 8 hits
and no walks in 9 innings.  Cincinnati banged out 12 hits on the afternoon.

Jack Coombs(8-14) was the losing pitcher.  He was unable to control the
Cincinnati offense and allowed 12 hits and 5 walks in 8 innings.

'Everything felt great' Adams said. 'I had a good fastball, I felt I could
throw it by everybody today.'
