TEAM RISP- Cubs: 7 for 17 Braves: 3 for 13

Heinie Zimmerman hit 2 doubles and had 4 RBI at South End Grounds where the
dominant Chicago Cubs beat the lifeless Boston Braves in 11 innings by the
score of 10 to 6.

The game was deadlocked at 6 after nine full innings. Chicago won the hard
fought contest in the 11th inning. The key offensive moment was provided by
Zimmerman who quieted the crowd when he laced a base-hit scoring two
baserunners. Chicago managed 16 hits in their victory.

The victory was credited to Charlie Smith(6-1) who went 2 innings, allowing no
runs. The losing pitcher was Bill McTigue(3-5) in relief. He was not very
effective, surrendering 4 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.
