Del Ennis knocked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Crosley Field where the New
York-AL Yankees beat the Cincinnati Reds 10 to 8.

Ennis was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he provided
much of the offense for the visitors. He lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' in
the 2nd inning and bombed a two-run dinger in the 7th inning. Cincinnati
threatened in the 9th but New York-AL was able to put down the rally.

Al Brazle(1-3) allowed 3 runs in 3 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the victory.
Sal Maglie gained credit for his 2nd save. Ned Garver(15-8) was charged with
the loss. He surrended 3 homeruns in his 9 innings.

Robert Baker was beaming after the game, 'Not only were we making good
contact, but a lot of balls we hit seemed to have 'eyes'! I just love winning
these tight ones! It was just our day - no doubt about it!'
