Bill Hoffer pitched a complete game as the Baltimore Orioles topped the Boston
Beaneaters by a score of 12 to 3 at Union Park.

Baltimore took the lead for keeps in the bottom of the 6th inning scoring 4
runners on 3 hits.  The big moment was provided by Hughie Jennings who
brought the crowd to their feet when he tripled which was good for two runs.
Baltimore totaled 16 hits on the afternoon.  

The winning pitcher was Hoffer(19-7) who allowed 3 runs for the game. Jack
Stivetts(15-9) took the loss.  He got hammered, allowing 16 hits and 2 walks
in 8 innings.
