George Treadway cracked 3 homeruns and Ad Gumbert had an impressive outing as
the Brooklyn Grooms ballclub embarrassed the hapless Washington Senators by
the count of 11 to 0.

Treadway had a big day at the plate. He cracked a two-run shot in the 1st
inning, smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly' in the 3rd inning, launched a
rocket-shot out of the park for a Grand Slam homerun in the 6th inning and
hit a single in the 8th inning. Brooklyn managed 14 hits in their victory.

It was the 2nd shutout of the year for Gumbert(9-11). The losing pitcher was
Varney Anderson(3-11). He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 8 innings of
work.

Brooklyn, who had been struggling lately, moved their record to 46-43. They
are now 2-8 in their last ten games. With this loss, Washington has a 3-7
record of late, 28-55 overall.
