3,975 fans were treated to a fine game at American League Park as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end.  The Boston-AL Americans won by the
slimmest of margins, 4 to 3.

Both teams had scored 3 runs after nine full innings.  Boston-AL won the hard
fought contest in the 11th inning.  George Browne tripled.  Otis Clymer came
next and he laced a single scoring the run.  Boston-AL finished with 8 hits
in the victory.  

The victory went to Rube Waddell(10-13) who went 3 and 2/3 innings, allowing
no runs. Waddell got help from Joe McGinnity who earned his 3rd save.  Earl
Moore(11-9) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He surrendered 2 hits and 1
walk in 2 and 2/3 innings.
