In a lop-sided win the St. Louis Cardinals ripped the Brooklyn Superbas by a 7
to 1 count.

Les Backman(4-4) had a solid outing for St. Louis.  He went 8 and 2/3 innings
and surrended up 10 hits and 5 walks seeing his ERA drop from 3.26 to 3.00.
St. Louis totaled 12 hits on the afternoon.  

George Hunter(4-7) was charged with the loss.  He was unable to control the
St. Louis offense and allowed 12 hits and 2 walks in 8 innings.
