The St. Louis Browns defeated the slumping Cleveland Indians in 11 innings by
a score of 8 to 4 at League Park.

Both teams had scored 4 runs after nine full innings.  St. Louis won the game
in the 11th inning.  The big moment was provided by George Sisler who
disappointed the partisan crowd when he doubled bringing home two
baserunners.  St. Louis had 15 hits for the afternoon while Cleveland had 12.

The winning pitcher was Bill James(10-9) who allowed 2 runs in 4 innings.
Fritz Coumbe(3-8) was the losing pitcher in relief.  He allowed St. Louis 4
runs in 3 innings of work.
