Bill Keister collected 3 extra-base hits and had 3 RBI and Harry Howell went
the distance as the Baltimore Orioles topped the Cleveland Blues by a score
of 9 to 4 at Oriole Park.

Keister provided much of the offense.  He doubled which brought home a run in
the 3rd inning, tripled knocking in a run in the 5th inning and doubled
plating a run in the 8th inning.  Baltimore provided plenty of action in the
5th inning which saw them score 2 runs on 3 hits and the 8th inning when they
had 2 runs on 4 hits.  The Baltimore offense smacked the Cleveland pitching
staff around, scoring in 7 of the 9 innings.  

Howell(15-8), allowing 4 runs for the game, picked up the victory. The loss
was charged to Jack Bracken(1-1).  He was knocked around, surrendering 9 runs
in 8 innings.
