It was a real slugfest in Oriole Park where the dominant Baltimore Orioles
finally out-scored the woeful Cleveland Blues by a score of 18 to 13
in.

Baltimore put a big number on the board in the bottom of the 8th inning, which
proved too much for Cleveland to overcome showing no mercy on Cleveland as
they plated 10 runs on 8 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Roger
Bresnahan who electrified Oriole Park when he slapped a single plating two
runs. Baltimore kept the scorekeepers busy in the 8th inning with 10 runs on
8 hits. A wild and woolly affair, this game saw the lead change 5 times.

Bill Karns(1-0) allowed 4 runs in 1 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Pete Dowling(6-16) was the loser. He was knocked around by
Baltimore, allowing 15 hits and 6 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings.
