TEAM RISP- Red Sox: 3 for 12 Browns: 4 for 13

Charlie Smith tossed a complete game as the seemingly unstoppable Boston Red
Sox outscored the St. Louis Browns 12 to 5.

Duffy Lewis was a seemingly constant irritant to the hometown fans as he
provided much of the offense for the visitors. He doubled plating two runs
in the 4th inning, doubled which scored a run in the 6th inning and doubled
plating a run in the 8th inning. Offensively, Boston was a juggernaut. They
scored in 6 separate innings.

Smith(10-4) got the victory, allowing 5 runs for the game. Fred Link(3-11) was
given the loss. He was knocked around by Boston, allowing 13 hits and 3
walks in 9 innings.
