Jimmy Austin had 2 base hits and scored 3 times as the St. Louis-AL Browns
topped the Washington Nationals by a score of 10 to 3 at National Park.

Ray Caldwell(9-5) pitched well enough to earn the win.  He went 5 innings and
surrended up 6 hits and 1 walk.  St. Louis-AL had 15 hits for the afternoon
while Washington had 10.  

Caldwell got help from Joe Lake who was credited with his 2nd save.  George
Baumgardner(6-15) was hit with the loss.  He got hit pretty hard, allowing 10
hits and 5 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings.  

St. Louis-AL remained hot, improving their record to 67-45.  They now have a
record of 8-2 in recent days.  Washington continued their losing ways and
their record is now 43-67.  They are 2-8 in their last ten games.
