Johnny Klippstein went 5 strong innings as the Cleveland Indians topped the
floundering New York-AL Yankees by a score of 3 to 2 at Yankee Stadium.

In the top of the 7th inning Cleveland went on top for good scoring a single
run using 2 hits.  Cleveland had 8 hits for the afternoon while New York-AL
had 4.  

Paul Lapalme(6-2) got the win allowing no runs in 1 inning. Sandy Consuegra
earned his 6th save.  Virgil Trucks(0-3) absorbed the loss.  With the win,
Cleveland continued their winning ways; their streak now stands at 6 games
and counting. Mel Gross held court after the contest, 'Everything is coming
