Fred Corey completed the game without help from the bullpen at Jefferson St
Grounds as the Philadelphia Athletics beat the Columbus Buckeyes 10 to
6.

Philadelphia took the lead for good in the bottom of the 5th inning plating
one baserunner.  Jack O'Brien stroked a one-base hit.  Corey followed next
and he reached on an error.  Ed Rowen then hit a deep fly scoring the run.
Philadelphia had a total of 13 hits for the game.  

Corey(10-2), allowing 6 runs for the game, picked up the victory. Frank
Mountain(15-22) was the losing pitcher.  He allowed 13 hits and 2 walks in 8
innings.
